The Lancaster County Library houses collections of unique and rare materials dealing primarily with history and genealogy. Items include published works, microfilm, and vertical files of collected and contributed research.

MapsThe Library houses a Map Collection that documents the early development of South Carolina, the Waxhaws, and Lancaster and Lancaster County. Most are reproductions or copies of originals. |

NewspapersThe Library maintains the most complete collection of Lancaster County newspapers possible. All existing local Newspapers have been filmed and are available outside the Caroliniana Room. |
